Friday Sept. 28, 2018 ANAR DANA Seattle Cultural Evening focus on Kurdistan

Join us on Friday, September 28th, 2018 for the third of our ANAR DANA Seattle monthly Community Cultural Evenings for this season at new studio Deep Roots Dance in Greenwood. The focus of this evening is Kurdistan and the Fall Celebration of Mehregan.

A special feature of the Seattle ANAR DANA Project is our Cultural Evening Series at Deeps Roots Dance Studio. On the Friday evening before our rehearsal weekend we have a potluck at the studio and look at films, photos, costumes, listen to music, discuss history, ethnography and politics of one of the regions from our project. It has been amazing what interesting people are coming to these cozy community evenings. We are excited to move to the sudio and welcome a wider audience of people interested in learing about traditional culture. Please join us!!!

These evenings are open to everyone!

Suggested donation is $15 for the general public and goes towards the studio and new costumes for the ensemble.
