Did you know that we care for an average of 200 patients per month from Wilderness to Harkerville? W do this through an average of 1200 professional visits every month. All this is at no cost to the patient or their family!

What is World Hospice and Palliative Care Day?

World Hospice and Palliative Care Day (13 October 2018) is a unified day of action to celebrate and support hospice and palliative care around the world.

The theme of this year's World Hospice and Palliative Care Day is:

Join us at our COURAGEOUS CONVERSATIONS talk on the 21st October 2018, 6pm at Knysna Vineyard Church as Dr. Janet Stanford will be talking on the benefits of Advanced Care Plans and how they may help to make decisions easier for your loved ones.

On Friday and Saturday 28/29 September 2018, Knysna Sedgefield Hospice will, once again, be hosting its ‘Maison Market’, a market founded in the French tradition, that offers gently used home and garden treasures at bargain prices. This event has proven to be a very successful fund raiser for the creative Hospice Events Team, who works hard to ensure that Hospice is able to continue its valuable work in caring for the most vulnerable members of our communities.

Gwen Stroebel, one of our home care givers assisting one of our patients in his home. Her patient is VERY pleased with how well his wound has healed, well done Gwen!
