Blue Cactus Press Studio Tour & Open Mic: Oct 14
Join Blue Cactus Press, Creative Colloquy and Write253 at Real Art Tacoma on Sunday, October 14, as part of the Tacoma Arts Month studio tour! All three organizations will have tables at the event, in which visitors can create zines or chapbooks, and chat with local authors and artists from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
At 3 p.m., visitors are invited to listen in as featured readers take to the stage, followed by open mic performances! Make sure to arrive early to sign up for the open mic! Featured Readers include: Lux Barker, Abby E. Murray, Samuel Snoek-Brown and Alissa Tu.

Fowler/Snoek-Brown Double Book Launch
Oct. 17 (Tacoma) & Oct. 22 (Olympia)
Join two of South Puget Sound’s top literary talents, Samuel Snoek-Brown & DL Fowler at Manifesto Coffee as the launch their latest gems. Snoek-Brown will read from his freshly released, provocative short story collection, There Is No Other Way to Worship Them. Fowler will share highly emotive imagery from Bittersweet: Poems & Essays, just off the presses. Both will be answering your questions, and autographing paperback copies available for sale.
A portion of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to Centro Latino, a community based non-profit in Tacoma working with the Latino and Indigenous Native families. Centro Latino facilitates educational programs, crisis intervention, family outreach services, arts & culture programming, and advocacy efforts addressing concerns and opportunities for families.

Snoek-Brown Author Reading (Olympia): Oct 26
Tacoma-based author Samuel Snoek-Brown will read from new short story collection, There Is No Other Way to Worship Them, at Orca Books in Olympia. Sam will read from the collection, then hold a short Q&A with the crowd. Books will be available for purchase at the event.
