Making a dent in the violence of Mexico.
We are impacted by those times when someone stands up at the microphone and says yes to vulnerability for the glory of Jesus. Last weekend, David* asked to share a darker part of his testimony with us for the first time. His story is another that points to the healing and redemptive power of Jesus.

We all knew there has always been tension in his relationship with his father, who is also his boss--a successful business man here at the international border, but we never really imagined how bad their relationship once was. For the first time, he went into detail about the profound levels of hate felt towards his father, so much so, that he confesses to having had thoughts and plots on killing his own father.

Of course, these feelings were from years ago, but today David can praise God for never allowing those thoughts to turn into a reality. And just this past weekend, God responded to his prayer for reconciliation and healing with his father. For the first time since he can remember, his father sat down with him to hold a sensitive and heart-warming conversation, that included forgiveness and ended in David praying over his father as they wept in healing tears.

In a country where violence and the news of yet another murder is the norm, it can often feel like we aren't making a dent in the brokenness that surrounds us. But today we look to Jesus and praise Him in gratefulness, because one less tragedy will occur here in Mexico thanks to God's healing and redemptive power!

This is exactly why Studio Del Creador exists.
We have seen enough times, that God can reach hearts through a simple craft or music class. The craft is simply a way for us to find access and receive invitation into the darker and broken parts of a person's life. That's where we have seen miracle upon miracle occur through this wonderful place. Thank you for sowing into this ministry!

Children's room construction is off to a start.
We love children! And we are so utterly excited to get our children's room begun! While our hope is never held in material things and always anchored in Jesus, the construction of this room brings us a glimpse of a new hope that God has greater things in store for the littlest ones in our ministry. A special shout-out and thank you to Mill Creek Foursquare Church from Washington State and Pastor Don Cain for bringing down a group of skilled men whom worked very hard on getting the walls up for our children's room.

Do you remember how we requested this project at the beginning of the year? Did you see the photo of us trying to do Sunday School with 10 kids in our small 7x7 foot office space? The passing of each Sunday this year made it feel a lot like an eternity to get here, but there is nothing more exciting than getting to check another dream off the list of 2018 project goals!

While the wall has been put up, many steps remain in order for us to completely finish the project that was so generously begun. We have yet to purchase the material to insulate and hang the sheet-rock on the inside wall, install windows and doors, and get the room furnished. But, YOU can help!

REMAINING GOAL: $1600 to install insulation, drywall, 3 windows, 2 doors and furnish the room.

You can donate towards this project. Donate via PayPal below, or send in a check based on the info below.
Newborn cuddles bring the family joy.
Hip hip hooray! We are getting all our newborn cuddles around here. Just a few days ago, Fernando and Karen (featured in last month's newsletter) had their baby boy, Yael Alexander. Because of iron deficiency, Karen was told she would not be given an epidermal nor any other pain medication during labor. She was frightened. We prayed over and broke the curse of pain on child-bearing, and she fearlessly brought their first child into the world after only three courageous pushes--without pain medication! We are so proud of her!

And so the family of Christ continues to grow...

"Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him." Psalm 127:3
Adoption, the way of the kingdom.
Church services are filling up with the sounds of sweet baby coos (and the occasional cry). Roberto and Patty, a family that has been walking with Christ alongside us over the past two years, just welcomed in the newest addition of their family, a nine month old little girl. We praise Jesus for this adoption and for the things He is going to do in her life through this redemptive act of love!
Coming up on 10 year anniversary.
10 years together! That's right! We celebrate this accomplishment together with YOU! It was about this time of the year back in 2008 when Natalie found the location where we would see countless lives transformed by Jesus. She saw potential in an abandoned shop on an abandoned street where drug transactions commonly took place. Many of you watched with your very own eyes as the transformation took place. Today that street is popping with liveliness, business and the public park has even been remodeled, becoming the popular scene for the cities larger events and fairs. God is good!

While we are now in the location of our dreams, in the heart of downtown Tecate, we are getting ready to celebrate 10 years of Jesus transforming lives through art and music. Come celebrate with us! There's plenty of time to find some great deals on plane tickets and plan your trip to Tecate, Mexico. And rest assured, we will take care of you!  Although we may not have the ideal of  our own missionary housing, etc. we do have the means to take care of your every need. Contact Natalie for more info at: natalien@studiodelcreador.org

WHEN? The weekend of January 26th & 27th 2019.

Above: Celebrating Mexican Independence Day (September 16th)
Natalie and Francisco had the great opportunity to travel to Monterrey Mexico in September, and attend a free pastoral conference amidst 1000 other leaders in Mexico!
