Reviews, Anyone?
The Call for Papers deadline for Masters & PhD is today! (Note the Honours deadline is November 5.)

Not going to make it this time around? You can always review a book or article for us instead.
How to Review for NVJS
If you fit the eligibility criteria for NVJS, we'd love to receive a review from you. We accept reviews of English or Japanese academic books, or Japanese academic articles. You can review a single text, or multiple texts together. Reviews themselves must be written in English.

Have something in mind? Great. Send us your proposal via our online form. You can email if you prefer, but use the form as a guide because it sets out the info we need.

Still searching for the right text? All good. Here are two options:

1.  Register your interest on our Reviewer Database and we'll contact you if we hear of anything that might suit, OR

2.  Check out this book list, which introduces some recent academic books on Japan.

Got questions? Feel free to get in touch!

NVJS Recommends:
The Murakami Papers
The recent announcement of The New Academy Prize for Literature was a bittersweet moment for Haruki Murakami fans in the wake of his withdrawal from nominations last month.

To commemorate this rather awkward occasion, we put together a list of NVJS papers on Murakami's work.
