This video is a demonstration of how the EuFMDis model works. The EuFMDis model is a sophisticated decision support tool. It simulates spread and control of FMD in Europe and can estimate the cost if an FMD outbreak, EuFMDis can help countries to evaluate control policies, improve contingency plans and design simulation exercises. The pilot project was funded by EuFMD FAR (Funds for Applied Research) and involved seven pilot countries.

A new Foot-and-Mouth Disease Emergency Preparation Course (FEPC) will start on 13th November 2018. This four week long e-learning course in English will have participants from 14 EuFMD member states (Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Romania and Sweden). Three EuFMD trainers will support the participants and facilitate and encourage on-line discussions.
