Hello from Cherry

Thanks for having a look at our latest update.

I’ve had the honour of working for this wonderful organisation for a few months now, so I want to share with you some of the exciting ways that we're helping you reach out with the gospel.

Help your church commemorate WW1

In November it will be 100 years since the end of WW1.  This is going to be a huge event in the media and therefore in the minds of the public.  Our partners HopeTogether have put together a range of resources for churches.

You can order a free sample of their Silence booklet (for handing out at your Remembrance service) from us by emailing support-team@christianity.org.uk

And we’ll be promoting our own website, Christianity.org.uk, which has lots of great WW1 content. Every time someone visits our website, they are given the opportunity to get in touch for a deeper conversation.

Questions people ask

We’ve had so many people getting in contact to find a church, to receive prayer, or to get free information about the life of Jesus.  But perhaps the most exciting are those who want to talk, over email, about Christianity.  I’ve had conversations ranging from the Trinity to Buddhism, divorce to creation.  Everyone writes in for their own personal reasons, and it's wonderful to be able to engage with people individually.

Since I’ve started with the CEA, I’ve found that there are a particularly high number of Asian women, who are genuinely interested in finding out more about

what it means to be a Christian.  Please pray for all those who are seeking and that I, and our volunteers, can give wise and helpful answers that point them to Christ.

Occasionally people will express their thanks, which is, of course, lovely!  Some of the things that people are saying are, ‘I don’t know where else I could turn to about this.  Thank you’, ‘Your letters and emails have brought me great comfort and peace’, and ‘Thank you so much for replying … and being so understanding … you’ve given me a lot to meditate on’.

STOP PRESS - Christianity.org.uk
has a new search facility, to make
it easier for enquirers to find the answers they need.

Effective Christmas Outreach

Christmas may feel like ages away for mere mortals, but if you’re planning your church Christmas services, you will probably already be getting started.

If that’s you, then consider using the Christianity.org.uk link on your publicity material/service sheets.

You really have nothing to lose and everything to gain!  People can find out more about Christianity in their own time and space, and hopefully some will get in contact to talk with us in more depth.  If you want to link to us from your church website, just go to ChristianEnquiryAgency.org.uk to find out how - it’s very easy!

Help us to reach more people

Pray: Become a valued regular pray-er and we’ll send you weekly anonymised prayer requests, by clicking here.

Donate: The Christian Enquiry Agency delights in helping people find out more about Christianity, and encourage them on their journey towards a relationship with God.  We are a charity, and exist solely on grants and donations, so anything you can give would be greatly appreciated and go towards bringing more people to Christ.  Giving is easy, just click here.

Share: Since the GDPR regulations came in, we (through no fault of our own!) have lost a number of our newsletter recipients.  If you are reading this, then you are special indeed! Please use your privilege to forward this ‘good news’ letter on to friends, family and colleagues.  They can also sign up for themselves here.

Every week prayers, questions, requests for conversations, or for a book about Jesus are left on our website. Some ask for information about local churches as well. It is a privilege to be able to help people in their journey of faith in this way.

As Baroness Maeve Sherlock, one of our Patrons put it:  I am pleased to be a patron of an organisation that tells so many people about Jesus Christ. Every communication in print or online can help people find answers about Christianity.

To download our logos and to link your website to ours, so that more people can get answers, please visit  christianenquiryagency.org.uk

If this email has been forwarded to you by a friend or colleague and you would like to sign up for future CEA Newsletters (usually 4 per year), please go to: christianenquiryagency.org.uk where you will also find our privacy policy.
