NLAC News - Fall 2018

Greetings from NLAC!

We have a lot going on right now and we are excited to share it with you! Our 2018-2019 Schedule of Events brochures went out in the mail yesterday, so you should be receiving yours soon! If you don't get one and would like one, please contact us and we will get one sent out.

Here are some of the upcoming events this fall. We hope to see you around!

NDMOA - Visions of Home

The North Dakota Museum of Art traveling exhibit, Visions of Home, is now up at the Cavalier County Courthouse! Stop by during the week anytime between 10:00am and 4:00pm now through the 18th. There is some beautiful and interesting artwork on display, all with ties to North Dakota.

Artist in Residence - NDStrong

This year's Artist in Residence, ND Strong, has been working with the LAES students this week. They are learning the art of filmmaking and acting. The 6th graders are working on a short film, and this will be debuted Friday, October 12th at 2:30pm at the elementary school gym. This is open to the public.

Auditions for Nunsense: The Mega-Musical

Save the date for the musical, Nunsense! February 21-24 at the Roxy Theater. If you are interested in auditioning for a role, auditions will be held at New Hope Fellowship on Monday, November 12th at 7:00pm. Director Emily Braunberger is looking for a cast of 9-10 females and 2-3 males. There are singing and non-singing roles available. Must be 16 or older. Please prepare a 30-60 second vocal audition. Wine & Canvas

That's right! We are so excited to bring this popular class back! Our first class will be November 30th, and registration will open November 9th. Mindi Lill will be instructing. Class will be held at Maple Manor at 7:00pm. More information to come at a later date.

Annual Meeting

Join us Tuesday, October 16 at 7:00pm at the Cavalier County Courthouse for our annual meeting. New directors will be elected at this time.
