Last week NewVIc celebrated National Poetry Day. This year the theme was 'Change'. Students showcased their work and prizes were awarded to Deeqa for her poem Change Will Come and Michalina for her poem I Forgot How to Cry

Celebrate Black History Month

If you have some ideas for Black History Month contact Steven Kern, maybe you could teach us a language? Perform or hold a talk based on a related topic?
Check out local events for a month of poetry, talks, film screenings, exhibitions, oral history, singing and author events to explore Black History Month.
Join us along with LBWP, MIND and Young Survivors on Friday 12th of October in the Link for a calming event where we will be encouraging students and staff to talk about we feel. NewVIc will be showcasing students' work with a strong focus on creative expression.
You can also pick up your green ribbon badge in support of World Mental Health Day. By wearing a green ribbon pin badge, you'll be joining the growing movement for good mental health for all.
