Dear Members,

Firstly, a big thank you to all those who managed to get to our annual conference and AGM. We had great participation and high interest levels throughout the three days. Tauranga and Taupo were great hosts and had a lot to show off in support of the site visits.

The Awards night went exceptionally well for an inaugural event, again a big thank you to the team for organising this initiative and also to the core sponsors (TMS, Bellingham, Allied Fasteners and Marsh). Fantastic responses from the winners at Tutukaka and Westhaven and for myself, a great surprise and truly proud to have your support and acknowledgement.

You voted back your experienced and committed Executive team which provides continuity for the work load discussed at the AGM. This communication is about starting to work on things identified that we need to get underway

NZMOA's Boatyard Course

We have launched our new Boatyard training course. This is a comprehensive program designed for all boatyard staff operating equipment, such as Travel lifts or those working as yard hands. It operates over two days and can be on your boatyard should you choose. Please see the Skydrive for the presentation which details the course and costs. Remember, this course can be run anywhere in New Zealand. Please forward your interest in this course to NZMOA Secretary - Phil Wardale philip.wardale@nzmoa.com

AMM course to be held in New Zealand

At the conference we talked about valuing staff and the professional development of the people in our industry. As a result and with the support of the MIA we have been successful in having the valued AMM course run by them to be held in New Zealand in 2019. There will be considerable cost savings to attend a local course and we encourage you to seriously consider this opportunity. Should you or any of your staff wish to undertake this program of study then can you please register your interest by return email to receive an application form.

Clean Marinas

Your Executive would like to encourage your participation in the Clean Marinas program. It was acknowledged at Conference that we need to better inform members on how and what they need to do to get moving with the program. The Guidance Document and self-check document is on the Skydrive for you to download and start the process. Please also download and complete the Pledge form and return it to us to enable you to access an audit. Any other information including booking audits and flags can be sought from philip.wardale@nzmoa.com.
