Unremitted foreign earnings, where are you? Companies are not bringing foreign earnings back to the United States anywhere near as much as last year's tax reform predicted. Where is that money? Calcbench went looking, and found something else: increasingly, companies aren't disclosing anything about unremitted foreign earnings. Read more

Exchange rate effects on cash. Corporate coffers got a little extra oomph in 2017 thanks to the dollar weakening relative to other currencies. For the first time in five year, exchange rates pushed cash and equivalents upward among the S&P 500. See what we found

Campbell Soup gets squeezed. Campbell Soup filed its latest annual report on Sept. 27. We wanted to see what the company was disclosing about steel and aluminum tariffs. We found a litany of disclosures that hits pretty much every major headache a large business might face today. Read more

Disclose your movie plans. There we were, scrolling IMAX's recent quarterly filings for financial data, when we saw something much more important: disclosure of what films IMAX will distribute in 2019! Read more
