City's Fall Cycling Events

Free Guided Bike Tour Planned For National Community Planning Month

You are invited to join the City of Longmont and Boulder County planning staff on a free guided bike tour of Northeast Boulder County.

Learn how past and present land use planning, transportation planning, open space preservation, housing, and historic preservation will shape Longmont's and Boulder County's future.

The tours are open to the public; anyone interested in the tour is encouraged to register in advance.

Tour begins at 2:00 pm: Roosevelt Park, 700 Longs Peak Avenue, Longmont CO 80501

Long Bike Tour: Approximately 17 miles: circular route starting from downtown Longmont, then southwest along the LOBO trail, then northwest to Hygiene, then back east to finish in downtown Longmont.

Short Bike Tour: Approximately 12 miles: out-and-back route starting from downtown Longmont, through Dickens Park, then east out to Sandstone Ranch, then back west to finish in downtown Longmont.
Please bring a helmet, water bottles, and a few snacks for the ride.

Demonstration Bus-Bike Racks
at 8th & Coffman

There is now a demonstration bus-bike rack at the 8th & Coffman Bike-n-Bus shelter. If you need to bring your bike with you on the bus, the rack will allow you to practice loading your bike on the rack before you need to load it in front of the bus.
There is a bike pump inside the shelter for members of the Bike-n-Ride program.
