Call for Volunteers

Judges Needed for UNLV's 20th Annual Client Counseling Competition

The Clark County Bar Association is recruiting Nevada attorneys and judges to volunteer at the 20th Annual Client Counseling Competition hosted by William S. Boyd School of Law on Friday, October 19, 2018, and Saturday, October 20, 2018. Most of the volunteers are needed during the preliminary rounds on Friday, October 19, 2018. See below for more information:
  • Client Counseling Competition - Preliminary Rounds - Friday, October 19, 2018:
    • 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.: Judge check-in and dinner
    • 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.: Preliminary rounds
    • Location (for preliminary rounds only): William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV, 4505 South Maryland Parkway in Las Vegas, Nevada
  • Semi-Final and Final Rounds – Saturday, October 20, 2018:
    • 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Judge check-in and lunch
    • 12:30 p.m. – 2 p.m.: Semifinal Rounds
    • 2:15 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.: Final Rounds
    • 4 p.m.: Awards
    • Location (for semi-final/final rounds only): Eglet Prince, 400 S. 7th St., Ste. 400, Las Vegas, Nevada
To volunteer for either day, or for more information about judging the competition, contact CCBA New Lawyers Committee Co-Chair Amanda Stevens, Esq. Please include your name and NV Bar # as well as the day and time you are available to volunteer.

Open positions Available on CLE Committee

CCBA members are invited to join our CLE Committee to develop high-quality, low-cost continuing legal education (CLE) to benefit the local bar and legal community. We need active CCBA members who also are active Nevada bar members to produce, teach, or moderate a panel discussion in a practical CLE seminar for the CCBA.

This may be your opportunity to:
  • Provide relevant info about a particular area of practice, legal trend, or change in practice and procedure at local, state, and federal courts
  • Show off stellar organizational and presentation skills
  • Practice professionalism
  • Get recognized for your skills and expertise
  • Submit your proposal to produce, teach, or moderate a practical CLE seminar for CCBA.
