Come out for International Night this Thursday

This week is International Week at Sagamore and each class is learning about a country. Students are putting together information to share for International Night on Thursday from 5-6:30 where families can go explore different countries across the globe right from Sagamore's cafeteria! Parents have been asked by room parents/teachers to assist by providing signature food items for everyone to sample and to volunteer to help at the event. If you haven't volunteered but would like to - please reach out to your room parent to find out what is needed. We appreciate everyone lending a hand to make the night a success for all! Can't wait to see everyone there!

Time to hunt for Box Tops!
|

Please submit your box tops by next Thursday, October 18 to help raise money for our school! You can submit them on a box tops submission form (there are some in the front office) or in a plastic baggie. Please put all box tops in the front office. There is a collection box to the right of the office door (on the right as you are exiting the office). *You can drop them off when you come for international night!

Reminders:
1. Please, please make sure all box tops are valid. Please check expiration dates as I have to throw away all expired box tops.
2. Please trim the box tops at the dotted lines. This little effort saves me a Ton of time. Please ensure you don’t cut into the box top- if the expiration date and codes are cut off, we can’t submit it.

Individual School Photos are ready for purchasing!

The individual school photos for 2018/2019 are ready for your viewing and purchasing! Purchasing images of your child is all done online via the photographer’s website and will be sent directly to your home.

Helpful hints to navigate the photographer's website -
Step 1 - Once you have entered the site, the images are grouped by class. Use the drop down menu to go directly to your child's class, then scroll down to find your child.
Step 2 - go ahead favorite every image of your child to a favorites list by clicking on the heart icon above each image. You may then share that list with family to make it easy for them to view the images without having to go through the whole class. Having a group of favorites also makes ordering much easier when building a multi-image package. THIS IS A USEFUL STEP DO NOT SKIP IT!
Step 3 - You can then easily select the images you want from an assortment of photo options (packages can be single image or composed of multiple images, or you can buy single prints at specific sizes or you can buy image files for your own printing and use in holiday cards, etc!) Please note Ken is offering a special discount for early purchasers!
Make up photos and group class pictures will be scheduled for a later date - more info to come when available! |

If your Sagamore student enjoys creating, have them submit a poster, focused on this theme: walking/biking/scooting for a better life. Drop off poster, with student’s name on back, and it will be added to our wall, for the duration of Oct.

So far we only have about 30% participation school wide for our biggest fundraiser of the year... If every family were to just buy 1 card we'd make our goal. We hope you will consider buying one to support the programs the PTA funds and plans - like STEM NIGHT, FAMILY DINNER, SOCK HOP, MOVIE NIGHT, and many more! Parents - it finally feels like FALL! Please label your child's coat, sweaters and sweatshirt so we can return them if found! Also - don't forget to check the lost and found for any missing items, if there is no tag that's where it goes and we periodically donate unclaimed items that have been sitting for a white!
