We hope that October finds you well!

I (Markus) just returned from 2 weeks in Guatemala, where I met with the other OM Latin American field leaders, and then a few days later with the leadership from the Logos Hope to talk about the ship’s visit in 2019 to Argentina.
It was 2 weeks of very successful and informative conversations, and I was so excited to finally see the Logos Hope for the first time and see the Argentines serving on board.

While the exact dates for the ships visit are not confirmed yet, we now know that the ship will be here between March and August 2019.
The ports will be Bahia Blanca, Rosario, Buenos Aires and Mar del Plata. In between the ports, the ship needs to go to dry dock in Uruguay, so some of the non-essential personnel needed for the maintenance might come to Argentina doing ministry throughout the country.

To say that Vanesa and I are excited is an understatement—as I’m sure you are too! And while March may seem a long time away; there is so much to do in preparation and we know the time will fly for us.

Other exciting news for this month is that Christina arrived from Germany on 1 September. She has been a kind and eager addition to our team, and has jumped in where the former team members left off. In fact, this weekend she is going to teach her first conference sessions—one lesson will be in English and the other one will be in Spanish!

Right now, Christina is staying in the apartment in our garden as we wait for God to provide the rest of the funds for the team house next door. While we did not get the funds needed to purchase by 1 October, the offer to purchase the house for $20,000 USD less still stands—if we can get the $40,000 USD remaining. We are so close to the purchase and cannot wait to see how the Lord will provide, please pray with us!
