Dear Friend

Welcome to our BPPC eNews.

There are quite a number of new faces at church now, so please make sure you get to know them and help them feel welcome.

Serving Together in the Gospel

Since they may not know our missionaries we would like to introduce them and invite you all to join hands with God in reaching the Timorese and Japanese with the Gospel. How? By weekly setting aside some of what God has given to you to undergird them.

An Explanation

As you enter church on Sunday you will receive a pamphlet explaining how our church finances work and what you can do for the church and the missionaries. Please read it and if God stirs you to share with them, then do it - for His glory.

God bless you abundantly,
Pr Andre & Newsroom Team

From the Pulpit

Morning Service - 9:30 am

This morning Pr André Schwartz will share on the theme “Judgement, Grace and Joy in God (2)”  from Isaiah 30-35. Have you ever had that tense, anxious experience of waiting for the worst?  And then the unbelievable relief and astonishment when it turns out the opposite?  Well, in Isaiah 30 to 35 we see exactly that. Last time we were sobered and hopefully shocked by the reality and extent of God's judgement... Come this Sunday to hear how that changes, out of nowhere, into grace and the unbelievable joy of living in and for God.

Evening Service - 6:00 pm

On Sunday night our Ministry Assistant, Johann Vorster, will continue the series in Philippians on the theme “The Mind of Christ” from Philippians 2:1-30.  The unity of the church is vital, especially when you consider that our Christian unity is a part of what Christ has done in the Gospel. We are united because He has united us all to Himself. The Apostle Paul knew this, and in Philippians, he urges unity by having the mind of Christ. But what does that mean? Come along and see.

Missionary Prayer News

Last week as we prayed daily for our missionaries Nathan & Tomoko Stewart, Lucinda Windeatt and Lauren Crase we remembered their physical and emotional needs. This week we'll be praying for their family relationships.

  • Husband/wife
  • Children/parents
  • Family life as a model for nationals
  • Coping with singleness
  • Coping with distance from their biological family

John Rowse Updates

John says,  "Thank you for praying. God has opened doors.  The seminar with a small group of Baptist pastors and others went well.  Please pray they’ll pass it on, and that a wider door will open to the Baptists there and elsewhere."  Read more...

  • Carl Bezuidenhout, a Jimboomba Home Group member, will have a pace-maker implanted next Friday, so put him on your prayer agenda each day.
  • Our people - That we might live a worship/servant lifestyle that shows we are really joined to our Lord and He is living out His character (the fruit of the Spirit) through us each day.
  • Prime Minister Scott Morrison, according to a faithful witness, is a keen Christian. He's there by a miracle, so let's pray for miracles of grace through Him to turn our nation's thoughts to the Lord.

What you Missed!

The Men's Breakfast on Wednesday was scrumptious as you can see. But better yet, was the fellowship as we dug into John 5 and sat at Jesus' feet as He taught us. We're learning, but there's a lot to learn. Come join us next Wednesday at 9:00 am - no breakfast this time!

More Messy Kidz

Yes, recess is over and the pre-school kids can't wait to get into the spaghetti, water, and other yukky stuff tomorrow, 15th October. It's a bridge-building work so King Jesus can cross over into their hearts. Come along and help set up on Sunday night or Monday morning, or clean up at 10:30 am.

QTC Event

Those who love to share God's Word with kids, won't want to miss this event to hear Fiona Millar (QTC's Principal's wife) and others speak out of their experience in this area. Last minute registration is still open.

  •  "Teaching Old Testament Narrative to Kids” on Saturday, 20th October from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm.  Cost of $10.00 includes morning tea. See more...

Working Bee

Next Saturday, 13th October we'll be joining hands and hearts to serve the Lord by cleaning up our church grounds, gardens, and facilities in preparation for summer. Come along and enjoy the work and good fellowship together.

Look! They're Close Now!

Christmas Concert 2018

"Well you talented people, don't hide your talent this Christmas but rather use it to praise the Lord. To date, there are only a few items and our congregational carol singing. So, take a step of faith and sign up for an item with Johann. OK? We look forward to a great time of fellowship.

Mission's Night

The theme of our Mission's night is "Taste and See that the Lord is Good." So first up we are going to taste some of that delicious homemade BPPC food that you kindly bring for us to enjoy. Then we are going to visit New Guinea to meet some very down-to-earth missionaries in a video that tells their story and shows how God works. It will bless you and stir your heart for the Lord and missions.  Read more...

Missions is about giving every person in every nation in each succeeding generation the chance to hear the news that "Jesus saves."  You can do it in THREE MINUTES. Check out the video.
