This free event features an interactive journey through the true stories of Yannely and Sameson living in the developing countries of the Dominican Republic & Ethiopia. In over 2,000 square feet of interactive exhibit space, visitors will step inside homes, markets and schools — without getting on a plane. Each child’s story starts in poverty but ends in hope. Get a sneak peek here! **After your tour, you’ll have an opportunity to Sponsor a child in poverty. At CBC, we are strategically partnering with Compassion International in Mexico to make the biggest impact possible! As you select which child you feel called to sponsor, please prayerfully consider partnering with your church family in our goal of changing the lives of over 5,000 children in Chiapas, Mexico.

Movie Night

Come join us for a fun family evening next Friday, October 19. Movie night will include food trucks, a CBC Kids Choir performance, Upwards fall season celebration and a fantastic outdoor family movie. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and come early to get a good spot! Food Trucks will begin serving at 5:30pm and the production will begin at 6:30pm. To register as a volunteer click here.

Did you know CBC partners with nearly 100 local and global ministry partners in an effort to mobilize our members to use their passions, gifts and resources to brightly shine the light of Jesus?! Well, get ready for a CBC Lobby TAKE OVER and all things CBC Missions!!

At the Go Forth Missions Expo, local ministry and mission trip partners will be represented so that you can easily and effectively learn about what local, national and international mission opportunities we offer through CBC and our partner organizations. There is no better place to discover where you can GO FORTH and serve in our city and around the world!

Operation Christmas Child

Please help us equip teens in impoverished countries.  If you can donate a $5 tool such as a hammer, screwdriver, Leatherman, wrench, tape measure, or wrench, it will help these young people earn money and support their families.  Please bring a financial donation or some tools to Pastor Royce in Portable 6A by this Sunday, October 14th.

Re|engage​ offers hope to marriages -​ ​Would you rate your marriage as a 2 or a 10? Maybe even a 0? You are not alone. Whether your marriage needs to be reignited, or is in need of a complete resurrection, re|engage is a safe place for couples to reconnect. In re|engage, we examine God’s design for marriage and apply principles from the Bible to guide couples towards growth in their relationship with each other. You can expect to receive encouragement by hearing stories from other couples that have experienced victory in the midst of hard times. Re|engage is an open group and meets every Tuesday at 6:30pm in the Worship Center. Click ​here​ to register! 


Getting Married This Spring?

Merge is designed to give engaged and seriously dating couples a unique opportunity to learn, seek wisdom, and receive counsel about marriage in a safe, fun, challenging and authentic environment! Merge exists to prepare couples for marriage by addressing common challenges from a biblical perspective.

Living Hope

Living Hope is a Christ-centered support group that offers hope and recovery for men affected by trauma or PTSD. Experience support and encouragement in a faith environment. The guided curriculum features biblical guidance, educational facts with practical tools, and strategies for building a healthy future. Group meets weekly on Tuesdays at 6:30pm and is open to newcomers anytime. India Mission Trip

June 20 - June 30, 2019 | Sign up by Dec. 20th!
Join Mission India
in their effort to train 80 teachers to effectively teach English for themselves. Your skills in English and a willingness to invest a week of your life into 8-10 young Christian leaders who are eager to improve their skills, will be a tremendous help in moving ministry forward. In turn, those you train will lead 3,200 children through Mission India’s English Children’s Bible Club program. You will get to know the learners well, and they will be so grateful to have a native English speaker provide guidance regarding pronunciation and diction! Movie Night

Looking for volunteers to welcome CBC guests and assist them with seating at the 10:00am , 11:30am or 1:00pm services.  Volunteer opportunities available, 1 hour per weekend. Contact guestrelations@communitybible.com

 

Care & Support

Do you have a heart for helping hurting teens?  Celebrate Recovery has a program for teens called The Landing that will be launching in the near future. We are looking for adults who have been called to help those who are hurting so that teens can break free from the chains of hurts, habits and hang-ups to live a life of freedom.  If you are interested in finding out more about this serving opportunity, please contact Frank Kirby at frank.kirby@cbc.email or 210-253-5979.
