Dear RGHS Parents and learners

“A School where I belong”, has been an on-going theme at school this year.  We are very privileged to host the launch of a book with this title written by Dylan Wray and Roy Hellenberg, on the evening of 15 October at 18:30.

This has been a week full of all the formal goodbye events for the matric class of 2018.  Each one of these young women has so much to be proud of.  They have worked hard over the past five years, had some ups and downs and excelled in so many school and external activities.  I wish them all well as they prepare for their final school examinations before embarking on the next adventure in their lives.

It was a privilege to accompany Frau Fourie, Madame Williams and Mrs Weston to the German Ambassador’s residence on Wednesday, in celebration of the Day of German Unity.

The Sports Award Assembly, Prefect and Interact Induction Ceremonies were all wonderful occasions for celebration.  Well done and thank you to all who arranged and co-ordinated these events. Congratulations to all the new inductees and award winners.  I am sure there are very many proud parents out there.

The standard of the Matric Art work on display for their moderation is yet again of an outstanding quality and I hope many of you have taken the time to walk through the exhibition.  Thank you to the Art Department for all their support and encouragement of our young artists.
