15th Annual Sleep Cheap Charities Reap logo

Over the last 14 years, our community has had great success with Sleep Cheap Charities Reap, raising over $1.8 million for local chairities! Trick or Try-It!

Nighttime Tours at Drummond Hill Cemetery

Kick off the Halloween season with a dark and ghastly tour of one of Canada's most historic cemeteries. Ten tours will run on Friday and Saturday nights starting October 19, including two twilight tours for the more easily spooked. Tickets are $12, available at the Niagara Falls History Museum. Community Clean Sweep: Fall 2018

On Saturday, October 20, rain or shine, the Community Clean Sweep will tidy up our boulevards, parks, and trails. The semi-annual event is a great way for students to build community service hours and for friends and family to set a an example for the next generation. Last May, our sweep involved more than 300 volunteers and a whopping 1,000 bags of litter. Learn more and register today at niagarafalls.ca/cleansweep.

Celebrate the bounty of the season and pick up a pumpkin at the Harvest Hoopla! We've got a bouncy castle for the kids and face painting, too! Niagara Falls Vote: Monday October 22, 2018
Election Day is Monday, October 22, 2018

You don't have to wait until Election Day to cast your vote. Any qualified elector can vote at any one of the advance polls. Fully accessible advance polling stations are open at City Hall, Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 4 PM, as well as additional locations throughout the City on select dates. City staff and the community are trying to collect 1,000 pieces of new or gently used winter apparel to help the less fortunate this coming winter. All sizes are required, from child to adult: coats, mitts, gloves, hats, scarves, and blankets. Wall of Fame Induction Ceremony
On October 27, Alan Barillaro, Isabelle Rezazedeh aka REZZ, James "Jim" Cooper, and Antoine Gaber will be inducted to our Arts & Culture Wall of Fame. Extended Hours at MacBain Centre
As of Saturday, July 7, 2018 the City's Customer Service extended hours at the MacBain Community Centre have changed as follows:
Saturdays        9 a.m. to 12 noon        
Wednesdays    8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Thursdays        8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Our regular hours remain the same, Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
