An Update from the Studios...

Changes and Upgrades

Fall is already quickly passing us by. Our weekly community training sessions are underway, and members are busy learning the new systems. As well, each of our studios is getting a bit of a facelift...

The old Standard Definition systems just retired from Studio A. It is now equipped with a Sling Studio, a Mevo system, and it’s very own dedicated HD switcher running MimoLive.  Both Mimolive and Sling let you stream multi-cam and green-screen straight to Facebook or Youtube.

Studio B now has an installed backline! A drumset, drum mics, keyboards, and an assortment of amplifiers are available for use after 7pm.  Studio time must be booked in advance, and certification is available on the new digital mixing board for $100.

In November, we will be installing some sound dampening into the room to increase audio quality for recording.

Studio C is developing as a podcast and photography booth. A few new backdrops and new color LED lighting make it perfect for a small-scale livestream broadcast or photoshoot.

New Public Hours

Beginning Tuesday, October 16th we will switch to our new hours for public drop-in. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday we will be open from 2pm until 9pm, and Saturdays from 10am to 6pm.

Members may continue to book time in the studios outside of these hours by calling (612) 331-8575 or emailing val@mtnstudios.org
