Dystopian Dream

THURSDAY & FRIDAY, OCT. 4 & 5, 7:30PM. MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM.

The U.S. premiere of Dystopian Dream, a theatrical realization of a concept originated by composer Nitin Sawhney, is a collaboration with international hip-hop duo Honji Wang and Sébastien Ramirez. Uniting Wang Ramirez’s extremely physical dance language with Sawhney’s iconic music and singer Eva Stone, the production will take the audience on a journey through parallel universes and unreal dreams. Featuring animated projections by Nick Hillel, costumes by Hussein Chalayan, lighting by Natasha Chivers and set by Shizuka Hariu, Dystopian Dream grapples with themes of loss, isolation, surrender and continuity.
