SecurityToken.it Newsletter #4
Today marks the start of the Security Token Industry Launch Event in New York. The two-day event brings together security token enthusiasts and industry leaders, such as Tokeny, tZero, Securitize, Harbor, Templum, and many more.

If you're there, enjoy your time! We welcome your notes, thoughts or comments, and we may well feature them in our next newsletter.

Unfortunately the event will not be broadcasted, so we'll just have to hold a similar event on this side of the pond sometime soon :).

QUOTE

On Wall Street, the opening bell rings at 9:30 am ET every weekday morning. But for the emerging security token exchanges and ATS organizations that will run 24x7, their bell will only ring once — when they first open for business.

📈 Here's a long article discussing the shift from utility tokens to security tokens, covering what they are and their benefits. We've seen these articles before but include them anyway, as they provide a good overview for those who are new to this market.

POSTSCRIPT

This week it seems we have little to offer in terms of good articles or insights. Although the security token (or asset-backed token) space is still in an early phase, it seems to suffer from an overkill of meaningless articles that just say that security tokens "are gonna change the world".

Instead, we'd like to see opinions on things like technical standards, which is the best blockchain for security tokens and why, challenges that the industry needs to overcome (like user experience!), or why tokenizing real estate makes sense and tokenizing a startup doesn't.

If you enjoy writing and have such an article to share, do let us know. We're happy to include it here, and do our part in improving the quality of the security token space.

See you next week! 👋
