Last Weekend, This Weekend at GHC

The Ladies 1s scored 8 goals in their second league match on Saturday - that makes 16 goals in the League so far in just 2 matches.

And it was a clean sweep for the whole Ladies Section, all five teams having won, scoring 24 goals and letting in only one last Saturday!

The Men's 1s won their first League match 6-2 and the 2s and 3s also won pretty convincingly (6-1 and 6-3).

The Ladies 1s are away to PHC Chiswick but do catch the Men's 1s at home on Saturday for a 3pm pushback v Trojans.

Sunday is a County priority date for juniors so we don't have our usual 20 junior fixtures but do have the Under 10 Girls hosting four clubs and a number of other matches and training sessions.

Have a great weekend!

Welcome to GHC and the World - Little Alfie!

Many congratulations to Ladies First Team player and GHC Board member Jo Collins (nee Hatcher) and husband Tim who welcomed son Alfie Benjamin Collins to the world two weeks ago.

All three are doing fabulously and hats off to Jo for going above and beyond the call of duty (as always) to provide us with a special GHC snap of Alfie with his first hockey stick and Jo in her beloved GHC training top!

Junior Membership Refund Winner
(Adult Draw is end of October!)

This season with our renewal invitation for 2018/19, GHC started a 'Membership Refund Draw' to incentivise and reward members who make early payment of their annual fees for the season.

Every Junior who had paid their membership fee by end-September would be given a chance to get their 2018/19 membership fee refunded.

At the end of September - 488 Juniors had paid their memberships, with probably about 60 still to pay.

It makes the task of managing the clubs finances much easier if members pay ASAP at the start of the season, so thank you to the nearly 500 juniors who have already paid!

Dave Dickson, our PSO and Membership Secretary is pleased to announce that the lucky winner of the Junior Refund is…

Amelie Dye (Girls U12)

GHC Treasurer, Mark Lenel will be in contact to arrange the refund shortly.

Unpaid Adults out there……get your fees paid by end-October for your chance to be in the Adult Membership Refund Draw.

Please email Michelle to let her know if you are interested in becoming a First Aider – courses run in the evenings at the Club.

Once completetd, the course can be used as CPD in the work place. We ask for £35 towards the course while the Club pays two thirds of the fees. If money is going to stop you doing the course then please speak to Michelle.
