Fall Break!
Fall Break is October 8th-12th.
There will be no school or preschool during the break! Childcare is available by reservation only. There is no hot lunch available over Fall Break.

Field Trip to Tolmachoff Farms!
Our Kindergarten and Kinder-Prep classes will be taking a field trip to Tolmachoff farms on October 17th. Permission slips went home with each student. Make sure to turn them in to the school office or to your child's teacher.

Parent Teacher Conference will be October 18th and 19th. Sign up with your child's teacher for a time slot!

Highlights from the Kindergarten Lion Cubs!
Lots of new things have been happening in Kindergarten lately. We started having homework this week and everyone has been doing a great job.
We also have been studying Christopher Columbus. We learned that he was looking for a shorter path to the West Indes but he found something else. Ask a Lion Cub if you want to find out what Columbus found.

Dance Classes
The days of Dance have changed to Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 3-4 pm. The class costs $30 a month. Please email Miss Caitlin if you would be interested in your child participating in a dance class, space is limited!

Karate Day
Sandoval Karate has given our students the opportunity to participate in a karate class on October 24th students age 3 through Kindergarten are welcome to try the class! Each student will participate in a 30 minute session and begin to learn the basics of karate from one of their excellent teachers. Sign up sheets will be sent home with your child soon. Please turn them in to the school office by October 17th!

Oktoberfest

It’s that time again! Come and enjoy the beer garden, German food, music and dancing. There will also be plenty of fun for the kids. Invite your friends to this fun fall event! Introducing our Staff!
This week we will learn a little more about Miss Kailee!
I have been working at Gethsemane for 2 1/2 years but that's not where my journey began. I went to school here starting in 2001 (in Mrs. Rogers's class) and graduated 8th grade in 2012. I feel extremely blessed to be a part of the staff that helped me become the person I am today.
I am currently enrolled at Mesa Community College, working towards my Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. Science is one of my favorite subjects because there are SO many things to learn and it is constantly changing. Taking care of people (especially the kiddos) has always been second nature to me and I am so excited to be able to use that gift in my career.
When I'm not working or studying anatomy, I enjoy drinking coffee, trying new things I find on Pinterest, working out, hanging out with my friends and family and taking spontaneous trips to Disneyland.

All Gethsemane Christian Academy Moms are invited to join us for a Monthly Moms Group. We will gather with other moms for Fellowship, Teaching and Connecting. We offer FREE childcare and have a group that meets at 10am OR 7pm. Our first meet up is Wednesday November 7, at 10am or 7pm in the Gethsemane Church Commons. GC Men's Study
MEN’S STUDY• 6:30A • NOVEMBER 7, 2018
Pastor Troy will be leading a new study designed for men on Wednesday, November 7th at 6:30a in the commons. We will be meeting monthly and working through a study by Mark Patterson called “Play the Man.” It looks specifically at the confusion that exists around manhood today and what it means to be a faithful man of God.
