Dear Parents,

This week in Kids, we studied Moses’ reminding the second generation of God’s people to worship only the one true God. The previous generation had died in the wilderness as result of their refusal to trust God and enter the promised land 40 years before. Now their children needed to be reminded that God alone is worthy of worship and He is jealous of this. Help your kids identify possible “idols” in their lives that draw their worship away from God and pray about ways to reject worshiping anything except God.

Table Talk

  • What did Moses say about remembering God’s commands? (See Deuteronomy 4:40.)
  • Who is like God?
  • How can you show God that you love Him?

Toddlers

  • God is holy; He always does what is right.
  • There is no one like God.
  • God brought His people out of Egypt and took care of them.
  • People should only worship God.
