Furys Ferry Road delays return Tuesday

EVANSGeorgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) maintenance crews will Tuesday begin scheduled permanent shoulder or “edge rut” repair activities on State Route 28/Furys Ferry Road in Columbia County.

The work zone runs between Three J Road and Colony Drive. Closure time should be roughly 9 a.m. to 4 p.m daily through Thursday.

GDOT area maintenance will place asphalt to ensure the traveling public has a good roadway edge for a smoother transition back onto the driving lanes.

Lane closures will be installed in the work zones. Expect a flagger holding traffic. The traveling public should pay close attention to personnel and heavy equipment.
