As we all know by now this past week was a rough one. We lost a great man. There really is no other way to say it. If you had the pleasure to meet Darth Visor and share in a workout, you were schooled in the true art of mumble chatter that Lawdog could only dream to achieve. His Q's were almost always written on a Weinke, yet still somehow always seemed improvised on the fly, and they were fun. He made the gloom inviting with his constant smiling and cheerful banter. He was one of the original men that helped plant F3 Alpha, and without that, we would not have been able to build what we have in Cherokee.
On Thursday, we celebrated his life with 82 PAX converging at big Creek, comprised of men from both the Cherokee and Alpha regions, as well as his wife and family. But as the morning went on you could see the power of F3 flowing through Twitter. F3 Men and Fia Women posting in Orange with their flags using #OrangeForDarth came pouring in from all over including Omaha, Chicago, St. Louis, New Orleans, Memphis, Chattanooga, Nashville, and throughout both Carolinas in support of Darth and his family. What we have here is more than a workout, we say it all the time, but it never felt stronger than Thursday.
Darth Visor will be missed, but what he helped to build and his scope of influence will help to carry his legacy on.
