This month we are focussing on our preparations for the International Conference on Family Planning in Rwanda. The Conference is run by the world powers in promoting contraception across the world, including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
There is much to do to prepare for the three minute flash poster presentation and the exhibitors booth for the three days.
This is a wonderful opportunity for our Ugandan team to showcase their work. Poverty is well connected to the high maternal mortality rate as well as the high teenage pregnancy rate.
Talking about these sensitive subjects has been taboo and even discouraged particularly in religious circles.
