Gigantic Floating Door!
A sliding door doesn’t seem like a complicated task, does it? Well it gets tricky when there is no possibility of a rail or wheels to support the load. Not to mention the doorway happens to be 3m high and 2m wide! This was a strange enquiry even by our standards but as always we got to work and came up with a solution that would work! We ended up creating a cantilever door mechanism. This mechanism uses linear rails to smoothly guide the door in and out without the need for supporting rails or wheels as a guide!

600hp cars, faster than a formula one car: This is the motorsport event of the year! The WRX Championship has it's final race of the season in Cape Town at the Killarney Race Track at the end of November. And we are inviting you to join in on the exciting wheel-to-wheel race action on dirt and tar. Corn Grinder
 
We all love Mexican food, but did you know that in Mexico most tortillas are made using Corn! This month we built a corn grinder with this goal in mind. With this machine our customer now has the ability to grind corn and make traditional Mexican Tortillas right here in Cape Town South Africa! Head over to Elburro to taste for yourself! Yum!

This Morris Minor gearbox was brought back to life for R250!
We are excited and proud to announce that through the DST's Technology Localisation Implementation Programme (TLIU) hosted by the CSIR we have managed to secure support to improve our capabilities with our CAD and CAM software. We can proudly announce that over the next few months we will be using the latest Solidworks and Mastercam software available on the market via MECAD and have been granted access to training courses in order to help us use them effectively!
I would just like to say thank you to Masande from the TLIU for helping us improve our service offering, business and the engineering industry.
We are very happy to announce that Kayleigh gave birth to a beautiful little girl recently! The entire staff wish Kayleigh and her new family the best and look forward to her return! 😊 We also have some new friendly faces in the business, look out on our social media where we will start introducing the Dennes Family!
