Youth Happenings- October 22nd

JUST JOY Respite Night--- Friday, October 26th, 5:00-9:00 pm

We're very excited for our Middle & High School students to have the opportunity to serve the Church, families and our community through assisting at our upcoming Respite Night put on by our Just Joy Ministry. Please see the information below and prayerfully consider serving! Let Luke or Jamey Dagenhart know if you are able.

What is a Respite Night?
Parents will drop off their special needs child or adult, along with sibling(s), while background-checked volunteers care for them. We offer a variety of activities for everyone to enjoy. Our goal is to allow parents to enjoy a night out.

What will they do? We set up our church building to meet the needs of everyone. There will be music, recreation, crafts, and a movie. The entire evening is structured so that every person in attendance can find something they enjoy.

Is dinner provided? We will provide a pizza dinner along with Chips, Goldfish crackers, lemonade and water. You are also welcome to send dinner with your child(ren). Dinner will be served beginning at 5:30pm.

The schedule for the evening? We will eat dinner and enjoy a sing-along. Following dinner we will rotate through music, crafts, and recreation and then close out the night with a movie.

Youth Group Wednesday!

This Wednesday Night, October 24th, Youth Group is back at 6:15 pm on the Youth Floor --- We'll have music, game(s), fellowship and continue our series on the Sermon on the Mount! If you need a ride or a boxed meal if you can't make dinner (beginning at 5:30 pm) please let Luke know!

Middle School Fall Retreat

Date: November 2nd-4th at Bonclarken. Our speaker will be Pastor Brad Anderson, and the topic will be Ecclesiastes. Registration has closed, but we look forward to the awesome weekend that the LORD has planned for us! An e-mail for attendees will go out the beginning of next week with all of the information you need!

Basketball Season Sign-Ups

The York County Christian Basketball Association Season is almost here and sign-ups have begun at First ARP! Please see the sign up sheets in Robinson Hall on a Wednesday or a Sunday between now and Wednesday, November 14th, in order to sign up or sign your child up for the upcoming season. The fee to play is $30 per student, and please grab a CBA waiver when you sign up--- coaches will contact families when practice begins!

Sunday School This Week:

We'll continue our study "The Story Begins" in Genesis during our Sunday School hour. Please take advantage of this opportunity for Bible instruction and fellowship! Teachers Cole McKinney & David Rankin are excited to continue in this new quarte!
