Barcelona, Spain (!!!!!!!!!!!)

We're jumping straight into the weekend with this update, folks. Friday I flew into Barcelona & met up with my CGFs Tara & Kristen!!!!!! To clarify: by flew I mean I sprouted wings and landed on our hostel's rooftop terrace (see above).

Montjuïc

First thing we Cheetah Sisters did was head up to Montjuïc, a castle on a hill with a sweeping view of the city and sea. We made it up via cable car and back down by the grace of God... as you can see we had enough wine for the entire weekend (but also the time of our lives).

Picasso Museum

My favorite place in Paris is the Picasso Museum, so I was happy to find out that one of his most extensive collections was just blocks from our hostel! This museum was laid out chronologically and literally walked us through Picasso's life and styles of art. My favorite room (pictured above) was a collection of his studies on Diego Valezquez's "Las Meninas." I've been a huge fan of this painting since watching this video essay years ago. It was fascinating to see Picasso's interpretations of the masterpiece, as well as to share my experience with two of my favorite people.

And finally: I may love the city and be amazed by the mountains, but every time I go the beach I realize how crazy I am to think that 'home' is anywhere but here.
