Release of "Old Survivor" documentary
After launching the film project nearly one year ago, we were proud to premiere Old Survivor at the Chabot Space & Science Center on October 9th. A follow-up to our first film, Trailhead, our new 22-minute documentary is a celebration of Oakland's redwood parklands.

If you missed the premiere event, check out our events page for upcoming screenings. If you'd like to host a screening, please contact us. To learn more about the film and to watch the trailer, visit OaklandTrails.org/Old-Survivor/.

Support our effort to install a new kiosk at lower Palos Colorados Trail
We recently received permission from the City of Oakland to install a much-needed message board/kiosk at this trailhead. Inside the kiosk we'll post a "you-are-here" map, emergency contact information, park rules, and built in will be a large map holder. We've already raised $1500 of the $2500 needed for the purchase and installation of this important public safety feature. Help us reach our goal by visiting our donate page.

We'll install this style of kiosk, as found on Sunset Trail

We'll also be offering Oakland Trails beanies and exclusive prints from local artists. All proceeds benefit our work in Oakland parks.
