True confession: I'm not great at asking for help.

Sometimes it's because I think I should be able to do everything on my own if I work hard enough, smart enough, prioritize my time wisely enough. Sometimes it's because I worry that I'm asking for too much. Other times it's because I'm worried no one will raise their hand, and I forget that there are plenty of people out there who derive great pleasure from being of service (or who simply love me and want to help me succeed!).

The good news: I've been asking for help a lot lately, and the yeses are emphatic and actionable and the nos are kind and not about me.

This week, I'm really excited to connect with the first round of talented, generous, interesting folks who responded to my call for Arq volunteers last week. Want to join them? Get in touch by 11/2.

Here's another ask: do you have a personal anecdote or ritual to share about processing grief? If so, we'd love to include it in the crowdsourced kit of tips that we'll release alongside our upcoming field guide to loss and mourning. Send me your stories.

If there's something you need help with, do yourself a favor and ask for it this week. In fact, send me your requests (of any kind) and I'll include them in The Ish next week!

Thank you, thank you, thank you,
Danya
