Towing a Weta - Myk Ryan

I've always wanted to sail my Weta wherever I wanted, and a trailer makes that possible to a large degree. The ability of this boat to explore harbours and coastal areas, accessible by road and a beach or ramp, has spoiled me for choice as far as it goes. But the places I wanted to do that were places I grew up around as a kid while cruising with family and friends on my dad's yacht, namely the islands and bays around the Hauraki gulf.

Weta Square Top Mainsail Review - Jay Winick

I got an excellent deal on hull #163 (obviously used) at the beginning of the season. She came with the original Gaastra sails which were crisp, but a little “dry” I would guess (I estimate they’re 7-8 years old). The jib was the first to go (I sail almost daily), and I replaced it with the jib from North Sails. Immediately I noticed a change in performance. Better fabric, newer, better design/shape, it even sheets in easier.

2018 US Weta Nationals and Adventure Sail Nov 2-4

2018 Weta Nationals and Adventure Sail held November 2-4 at Sarasota Sailing Squadron. Online Registration and NOR is available at: http://www.regattanetwork.com/event/17315

The Adventure Sail is Saturday and Sunday. Registration on Regatta Network above is $25 per Weta. You have options to purchase a Saturday dinner ticket and a shirt as well.
 
Adventure Sail meet on the beach to rig Saturday after the racers have left. A local with a skiff will support a group sail to an area beach for lunch and/or local restaurant and then sail back. Destinations determined by wind and sea conditions.
