In Pastor’s Sunday School we study the lectionary texts which follow the church calendar.
For Sunday, October 21:

It’s an informal study, always open to all, at 8:30 AM in the New Room.

TNT Pre-concert Lunch
TNT will meet October 21 at Chili’s restaurant for lunch at 2:15pm then to St. Mark’s to hear the All About Music San Diego Orchestra perform at 4:30pm. All are invited. Please call Sandi or Ken Johnson for restaurant reservations at (858) 278-8833 by October 17. Thank you.

2018-2019 CONCERT SERIES: All About Music San Diego
St. Mark's United Methodist Church will begin its 2018-2019 Concert Series on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 4:30 p.m. with a concert by the All About Music San Diego Orchestra. Following the concert, a reception will be held in the Social Hall to meet and greet members of the orchestra and their director.
AAMSD is conducted by Mary Gerard and gives six concerts each season in San Diego. This ensemble provides a solid foundation for young instrumentalists hoping to enter leading conservatories. The goal of AAMSD is to inspire a passion for making music on the highest level with all genres of music.

Missionary Conferences: A Special Invitation
Did you know that our denomination has three missionary conferences within the United States? The United Methodist Women invites all members of the St. Mark's family to join them for a presentation after worship on Sunday, October 21, about those three missionary conferences: Alaska, Oklahoma Indian, and Redbird. Shirley Ferrill will tell us why they are set apart and what they do. The presentation will be followed by a potluck.

Art Show News
Congratulations to JoAnna Potthoff, Diana DiProfio, and Ells DiProfio, members of the St. Mark's family who have photos in the current art show. You may bring you friends and neighbors to see the show 1-5pm every Saturday in October (20 and 27). To see the show outside these hours, call the church office (858-273-1480) or contact show coordinator Judy Edelblute at 858-278-0255 or judyedel8@gmail.com. Judy also needs hosts for the show. Each host works one shift 1-3pm or 3-5pm on one Saturday. Let her know when you can help.

The Community Christian Service Agency has issued their annual request for gift baskets and bags. Packets with details are available in the church office or on-line at ww.ccsasandiego.org. Please note the following deadlines: SIGN-UP by November 30 and BASKETS DELIVERED TO ST. MARK’S by December 12.
