Tonight:  We Talk Mnemonic Devices and The Seven Second Delay Comedy and Booze Cruise Sunday Night.

You know the memorization phrase, CTTSSDCBCSN? It stands for "Come to the Seven Second Delay Comedy Booze Cruise Sunday Night. And the amazing this is, if you say CTTSSDCBCSN really fast, it sounds like "Joey Heatherton." Or that's what Andy claims. I haven't tried it myself yet.

It turns out that there are dozens of these mnemonic devices, and tonight we devise new ones and discuss recent mnemonic devices that have cropped up since the last time we breached this controversial topic. Andy is always trying to find shortcuts to remember all the members of Simon and Garfunkel, or Peter Paul and Mary. It's not easy. But there are phrases you can memorize that will help with that, and that's exactly how were killing part of the hour tonight.

We'll also be talking way too much about this Sunday night's Seven Second Delay Comedy Booze Cruise, which you are all invited to attend, as long as you have pledged to our October Fundraiser. Email Ken via this link if you want to be on the ship. To accommodate all of this exciting Seven Second Delay action, we've added an all-new phone number which shall be retired after this evening's radio performance. And that number is 201-209-9368.

Don't forget: The Seven Second Delay Bingo Night has been postponed, but in it's place is something WAY BETTER:

The Seven Second Delay Comedy Booze Cruise, this Sunday October 21st from 8:30pm to 10:00pm

So far, we're half filled and the cruise is filling up fast, so if you want on, make a pledge to WFMU (if you haven't already) and then email Ken to get an invite onto the cruise for you and a guest.

There'll be stand-up comedy and ventriloquism from Andy, booze from a cash bar, a pass-the-mic joke-a-thon (bring a joke to tell!)  plus Ken and Andy will auction off a Seven Second Delay radio slot.

Admission is free, but is limited to the first 130 pledging WFMU listeners (plus one) who RSVP to Station Manager Ken via email from this link. Add the subject line "Count Me In For the Cruise."

By now you're probably still wondering, is this a joke? No. This is not a joke. The boat we're sailing on is the 158 foot long Schooner Clipper City, and she's captained by Listener Chris from Red Hook. The cruise leaves at 8:30pm on Sunday, October 21st from Clipper City Slip 2, Battery Park Manhattan. Here's a map link to the departure location.

A Few Things Your Should Know:

1: Andy is 100% comfortable on the water.

2: We will be sailing through international waters. The normal rules of American society will not apply. (Andy is pretty sure that international waters start once we are 30 yards from the dock.) As such, we will ask you to sign a non-disclosure agreement and to disguise your phones and cameras really well. We will also ask you to sign a second non-disclosure agreement about the first non-disclosure agreement.

3: There will be a cash-bar on board which means that everything is FREE! Except for the drinks. And the bar snacks too.

4: A few more warnings -

A) Listener Chris said he would probably not let Andy steer the boat.

B) Andy's stand-up and ventriloquism is NOT kid-friendly. Some have described it as kid-hostile.

C) We will be leaving at 8:30pm SHARP.

D) We have life-vests for everybody, and if you pledged $100 or more, you can have a life-vest that doesn't have rocks sewed inside. (Although pledgers of any amount are welcome).

5: Let's Review:

A) Email Ken from this link if you've already pledged (to any show) and you and your guest would like to attend.

B) The free cruise is from 8:30 to 10:00pm, on the Clipper City, which leaves from Clipper City Slip 2 Battery Park, Manhattan. We will circle the Statue of Liberty until it surrenders and then come back. Ship leaves at 8:30pm sharp.

C) Cash bar, stand-up comedy from Andy, incredible ventriloquism from Andy and his dummy Tyrone, Andy's hilarious magician friend will be working the crowd, music trivia and an auction of a WFMU air-slot.

D) A splendid time is guaranteed for all.

E) Well, not all, but at least for Ken and Andy.

F) This is not a joke.

G) This is not Ken
