Tomorrow is another Chick-Fil-A fundraiser night for KOK. From 5 to close at the I-35 and Wonder World KOK, if you mention Kids of the Kingdom we get a portion of the proceeds.
Wednesday Meal with KOK Families
Next Wednesday, October 24th will be our next monthly meal with our KOK families. We serve from 5:30 to 6:30. This is a great opportunity to know our extended church family and share our lives as we break bread together. Come join us and build those connections!
Trunk-Or-Treat
We will be doing the Trunk-Or-Treat again this year. We will finish up in time for folks to go to choir rehearsal, though some who don't do choir could stay and finish handing out the goodies. Most of our traffic would happen at KOK pick up time.
We need folks to decorate their trunks (or at least put on a funny hat) and hand out goodies, as well as donations of candy to hand out. Any leftovers would go to the Christ Chapel finals bags. Let Pastor Tim know if you can come!
Congregational Meeting
Our congregational meeting will take place on November 11th following worship. Details and proposed budget will be available on October 28th.
Community Chorus
To compliment the SMART Orchestra, a new San Marcos Community Chorus is forming. They will be performing The Messiah in December with the SMART orchestra, which has three FLC members participating. Rehearsals take place at FLC and began last week, but you can call 512-353-8122 for more information.
Food Bank Wagon for Bobcat Bounty
Reminder about our collection wagon to support Texas State's Bobcat Bounty food distribution. We have focused on peanut butter and beans but any non-perishable is certainly appreciated.

To help get timely news from First Lutheran and reminders of events and activities, we will begin using a text message service called "Remind". We have used this very effectively with KOK families to let them know what is happening at the preschool and remind them of events and deadlines. Examples of items we would send would be reminders of events or critical announcements such as cancelations or time changes.
To sign up, you text @flc78666 to 81010. It will reply and confirm that you are now on the list. The texts will come from a phone number you won't recognize but should all begin with "FLC Congregational Reminders". We don't know how often we will be sending items. It does use your allotted text messages if you are on a limited plan but we will not be sending daily alerts to this list.
