Special Project
Hurricane Relief  + Article on Faith

There are many needs, especially after a hurricane!

We would like to bring one to you.  Susan's sister, Cynthia, lives in Virginia with her disabled husband, Gil, and four special needs children!  She has an amazing walk with the Lord and juggles all of her daily responsibilities and care of their farm with grace.  The recent hurricane hit her area of Virginia and caused a lot of challenges.

To add to the mix, Cynthia fell on the farm and dislocated her shoulder.  Since the main road to their farm are flooded and unusable, the ambulance had trouble getting to her and those who are coming to help her with the family have a long route to reach her.  She's back home, but changing Gil's clothes, making meals for the kids and just dressing herself is a challenge.  The hurricane blew through taking out the power for a week so the family lost all the frozen and refrigerated food supply.

All this to say, we have set up a special fund for the Peyton family specifically to help replace food and help with some of the needed temporary nursing care for Gil while Cynthia's arm heals.  She is unable to do her normal chores around the house and farm also, so help is needed.

Here is a PayPal link that goes to a special fund that we are depositing directly into their family's bank account as it comes in.  Please pray about helping us with this vital project. ACTS Foundation, Inc. is able to give tax-decutible receipts for donations made to this emergency need.

Strong Faith

Not Diluted...Not Deluded

By Ralph E. McIntosh / ralph@actsfoundation.us

Most of us in the Western World have had, at one time or another, a few real challenges to our faith. We may have had workmates or neighbors make fun of us or talk about us as being Bible Bashers, but to have faced real persecution is rare. Many in the Christian leadership feel that the Church is to face increasing challenge from the Islamic faith and from secular humanists.

These two groups do not want the name of Christ to be dominant on the landscape. They want to suppress Christianity at all costs. Radical Muslims are even taught that to kill a non-Muslim is not only honorable it brings eternal rewards.

It is amazing that these groups cannot handle a message of love for one another. They paint Christians as radicals! Maybe they are right. We are radically in love with Christ and with our fellow man. We are no danger to them except to the mindset that they are right and Christians are wrong.

I have been dwelling on the verse that says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” Ephesians 5:22, 23 Why would anyone in their right mind oppose these things?

Another great verse is, Galatians 6:7&8 “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows that shall he also reap. For he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.”

This is an awesome verse.  It relates to all creation!   Genesis tells us everything brings forth after its own kind.  This applies to animals and plants but it also applies to spiritual gifts that we sow into the lives of others.  When we sow into others, God looks at it like seed and brings a harvest back to us!

Matthew 5:14a &16 “You are the light of the world....Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Go, be LIGHT in the earth so your neighbors and community can know where to find Jesus !  Thank you for partnering with us in prayer and giving!   Blessings, Ralph
