Dear Resurrection Family and Friends,

As many of you may know, since its inception in 2005, Resurrection has given away 10% of all general tithes to ministries and individuals who are serving the world in the Name of Christ. Based on Jesus' mandate in Acts 1:8 to proclaim the gospel and build the Kingdom in "Jerusalem (local), Judea and Samaria (national), and the ends of the world (international)", the Vestry and Outreach Tithe Team commit roughly 1/3 of our outreach tithe to local ministries, 1/3 to national ministries, and 1/3 to international ministries.

Funds are dispersed twice a year to organizations or missionaries who have 1) a gospel foundation and purpose 2) seek to evangelize, disciple, and/or serve practical needs in Jesus' Name and 3) have a connection with Resurrection. Anglican ministries are given a preference.

Resurrection gave to the following ministries in the past six months:

International
Anglican Frontier Missions
Anglican Relief & Development
Cru
Palestinian Bible Society

National
Anglican Leadership Initiative
St Thomas Anglican Church (Athens, GA)

Local
Apostles in the City
Center for Pregnancy Concerns
FOCUS - Baltimore
Intervarsity Christian Fellowship at Loyola

Thank you for giving so faithfully to the work of Christ at Resurrection. May we continue to know the joy of partnering with others in order to "Know Christ and Make Him Known."

Gratefully in Christ,
~ David

Coat Drive for Apostles in the City

Now through October 28, our congregation is collecting new and like-new coats, hats, gloves and scarves for Apostles in the City to distribute to their neighbors during the winter months. Many of these children don't have clothing to help them get through the coldest time of the year. Collection boxes are in the Fellowship hall and the Education trailer. Youth and small adult sizes are preferable. Please empty pockets and wash or dry clean all items before donating. Our last collection day is October 28. Have questions? Email Mark Metzger.

Choral Eucharist with the Maryland State Boychoir – Sunday, October 28 at 9am & 11am

Choristers from the Maryland State Boychoir will be joining us and leading in worship at the 9:00 and 11:00am services on Sunday, October 28. The boys will sing and lead our Choral Eucharist service this day.  The choristers will be singing the propers of the service (Gloria, Sanctus, Agnus Dei) as well as the psalm, an offertory anthem, and during communion. Church of the Resurrection member, William Holaday is a member of the Boychoir, many of our regular attendees are alumni members, and our Music Director, Stephen Holmes, is the artistic director of the Boychoir. Please join us in welcoming the choir, and consider inviting friends and family to experience this special worship service!

Thanksgiving Baskets with ACTC

Help the Assistance Center of Towson Churches (ACTC) bless Towson families this Thanksgiving by donating a bag of non-perishable food items. Both lists are on our website or can be picked up from the ResCommunity board. We will have collection boxes in the Fellowship Hall on October 28, November 4, and November 11. All food must be brought in by the Nov 11th evening service. Learn more at resbalt.org/thanksgiving-baskets. Have questions? Email Jill Griffin.
