Building for the Long Term
Just a few weeks ago Trinity Bible College and Graduate School celebrated its 70th Anniversary. Hundreds of alumni, friends and family joined with us as we celebrated this milestone. As much as I shared the celebrations this occasion caused me to take stock and pause.

Here were some of my thoughts:
- I realized that many institutions such as TBC & GS that were birthed in vision and concern for God’s Kingdom are no longer in existence. Literally scores of Bible training institutions have closed in the past two decades all across America. This saddened me.
- I thought of the hundreds of amazing men and women who have trained at Trinity and have faithfully served in multiple roles both in the US and around the world. This encouraged me.

- I gave thanks for the faithful people who have sown financially into TBC & GS over many years. Kind, generous people. This filled me with gratitude.

|
While processing these and many other emotions throughout the amazing celebrations, I determined in my heart that I would do all I possibly could to ensure that this fine College of ours would be here for the long term. Our buildings are now either new or newly restored. Our faculty is dedicated and committed. Our Trustees are deeply involved in the good governance of the College. We are deeply committed to our mission. I know we can see another generation of great people graduate and serve God around the world.

With this in mind I proposed an ambitious five-year strategic plan to our Trustees and others during the celebration weekend.
|
|
The goal of this plan is to ensure that your College becomes resilient to the changing world in which we serve and continue to be true to the mission that brought us into existence all those 70 years ago. Why? So that men and women everywhere will hear the good news of Jesus.
