Community Connection: October Getting Grounded

NYS Assembly Majority Leader Joe Morelle opened the 2019 Get Grounded Day for LR2019. The focus of the program day is to help participants connect to the community and local neighborhoods.  Teams toured neighborhoods and towns.  Along the way they connected with a 30 local community leaders, businesses, and associations who each shared their insights and thoughts with the teams.

A HUGE thank you is in order for all of our speakers, alumni and volunteers who helped make October's program day possible. A tremendous amount of work went into ensuring that the class had a positive experience. Thank you to Kathi Lynch, Keri Neathhawk, Cynthia Pacia and Joan Roby Davison for leading the Planning Committee Road Rally efforts.

THANK YOU TO ALL THE SPEAKERS who gave their time to meet the LR2019 Class.

Board Leadership Opportunity

Rochester Accessible Adventures
RAA has two Board positions available as we expand our community impact. We value cultural diversity and welcome candidates from historically underrepresented groups, who have strong skills and experience on nonprofit boards, particularly early stage development. As we plan for our long term sustainability, a background in fiscal management is preferred along with a belief in our mission of creating true inclusion of individuals with disabilities in the community.  Contact RAA, Executive Director Anita Obrien    585.491.6011
