As the dog days of summer come to an end, the tell-tale signs of Fall start to arrive. One such sign of Fall is that Cross Choir will be starting back up for the year! We are excited to announce that we will be collaborating with the Sunday school children in their Christmas program and several instrumentalists this year, so you can definitely look forward to some awesome music coming your way.
Please note that Cross Choir is a community group that welcomes all age groups and voice parts. We are hoping to strengthen our sound with even more singers this year and encourage you to join us. All who enjoy singing and lifting up your voice in joyful praise are welcome. New this year: choir members will receive optional, free, 15-minute, weekly voice lessons from Chelsea. Rehearsals will be held Thursdays at 7pm and a few Sundays after church.
Our first rehearsal will be Thursday 9/6. Also, please visit our booth at the Ministry Fair on 9/30 for a chance to win three 30-minute voice or piano lessons!
Contact Chelsea at: chelsea.lloyd@my.uwrf or (507)-269-9786 for more information.

PLAYGROUND UPDATE
By Rally Sunday, you will see our play set back up and ready for kiddos!
Cross is also proceeding with plans to purchase a Noah’s Arc playset which will include a slide, and a rock climbing wall! The Arc will be set up in addition to our existing playset. We will also be adding a basketball hoop and either tetherball or frisbee golf to the outdoor area for our older youth (or adults!) to enjoy.
Special thank you to Jim Hartmon, Pam Miles, Melissa Briese, Rachel Welsh and Dan Briese for their research and development on the outdoor play space at Cross. This team has also reviewed ideas from Melissa Briese on adding to our space and creating a fall-safe ground cover (until a decision has been made on a different ground cover, please know that the grass does qualify as fall-safe 😊).
The Building Committee allocated $5,000 towards the cost of renovating our play space
from the original Building Project.
Exciting additions coming to Cross for all to enjoy!
THANK YOU to both of these groups!
