Volunteer Appreciation Party October 25th!

You've spent all year helping the Diversity Center in everything we do. Without you, we would not be able to keep our doors open, hold as many peer support group meetings as we do, and put on our annual Gala extravaganza. Now it's our turn to celebrate YOU! We have been hard at work making thank you gifts for you all.

On Thursday, October 25th, 5–7pm, join us at Chris Arnold & Sally Weir's house at 316 California Street, Santa Cruz, CA 95060 for food, festivities, and gratitude. RSVP at this link so we can provide enough yummy treats for everyone.

QTPOC Dance Party seeks Two Volunteers

This Saturday, October 20, the Diversity Center's Trans and Conexiones programs are teaming up for an 18+ QTPOC dance party at the SubRosa Community Space on 703 Pacific Ave. We're looking for two volunteers to help with setup and takedown/cleanup, ideally Spanish speakers. If you're interested and can commit to being awake and useful after midnight, please contact trans @diversitycenter.org and conexiones @diversitycenter.org.

Get Out The Vote Sub-Committee

Key elections are just around the corner—Tuesday, November 6th! Are you interested in leading an effort to get out the vote in the LGBTQ+ community? Help GET OUT THE VOTE! Email volunteers@diversitycenter.org.

(Don't forget to vote yourself! Early voting is available 8am–5pm every weekday at both the Santa Cruz County Building and the Watsonville City Clerk's Office, plus 9am–5pm on Saturday, November 3rd and Sunday, November 4th; or click here to find your polling place for election day.)

Host at our Resource Desk

To be a host is to be the friendly face of the Diversity Center: the first person a visitor speaks to in the office or on the phone. And our host desk is run entirely by specially trained volunteers like Suki Barthol & Lola (pictured)! Come serve the LGBTQ+ community here at the center for 3 hour shifts.
