Week Seven: The Dharma: The many dimensions of the Dharma
Although the diversity and richness of the Dharma is a natural development of the Buddha’s teaching, it can still pose a problem for present day Buddhists. We have easy access to a vast range of different teachings, aimed at many different levels of experience, and from many different schools, in a way that has never been the case for Buddhists in the past. How can we make sense of it all, let alone go for refuge to this confusing mass of practices and ideas? At some point we need to stop trying out a bit of this and a bit of that, and start treading the ‘Path of Regular Steps’. We need to follow a coherent, progressive path of practice. This week we will consider what that means for each of us.
11/5/18 - Rebecca Li will join us and lead the practice of “just sitting”, or shikantaza, and I hope you can make plans to be with us that night!
* The Sangha participated in the bi-annual road cleanup - thank you to all who helped - if you missed this service opportunity please look out for the Spring event next year

We Need Donations Every Week
We collect and deliver donations to the Emergency Homeless Shelter. They are always in need of non perishable food items, paper products, and gift cards. However check out their Wish List if you want to give them what they really need.
We also collect for the local pet shelter. They need pet food and pet supplies (doesn't need to be new).
Please drop off your donation in a box in the lobby and consider signing up to deliver the donation to the shelter.
Send us your ideas for the next newsletter
If you have something to share with the rest of the sangha please email your news to Susan at bsbc19067@yahoo.com and we will be sure to include it
