Pumpkin Fest is this Friday, October 26th from 5:30-8:00pm. This event depends on Volunteers and we are still in need of filling volunteer spots to be able to run all of the fun activities planned!  There are 2 different shifts that you can sign up for: 5:25 - 6:45pm or 6:45 - 8:00pm. 

We are specifically looking for volunteers for: Games/Entertainment, Bootique, Cake Walk, Floating Volunteers and Clean Up. Please sign up through Memberhub if you are able to help! 

Tickets can still be purchased on the Webstore through Monday, October 22nd. Purchase in advance for a discounted price on admission and raffle tickets!

Bring in your completed literary pumpkins to the library Monday, October 22 before school. Treat bags with a $1-off Book Fair coupon will be given to all participants.

If your child needs to retake their photo or missed picture day, retakes are Thursday 10/25. You MUST Bring in your old photos in order to have a new photo taken.

All retakes will be completed before 11am. Any afternoon kindergarten students wanting a retake photo will need to come in before 11. 

All are welcome and encouraged to attend the monthly PTA meeting this Thursday, October 25, 2:30 - 3:30pm. Please check in at the front office (Drivers license needed for access to school during school hours).

Calling all artists.... whether your student enjoys art, music or dance or has an interest in writing, producing films or taking photos, have them join us and unleash their inner artist with PTA Reflections art contest! This year's theme "Heroes Around Me" calls for unique interpretation through the arts. Submission guidelines and entry forms can be picked up in the office and all entries are due back to the office by November 2.  For inspiration, visit the Reflections virtual art gallery and learn more about prizes and scholarships here. Ben Franklin's 5th Grade Ambassadors will be hosting our Veteran's Day Assembly on Friday, November 9, 2018. All students are encouraged to invite a relative or friend of the family who has served in the United States Military.  Print an invitation from our 5th grade ambassadors to your veteran here.

A video montage honoring those who served our country will play during the assembly. We welcome photos of Veterans who can attend and those who are unable to make the date but are there in spirit. We can accept electronic or printed images. We will be returning the photos to the families, but please submit a copied photograph (we do not want to be responsible for original photos), remembering to include child's name, grade and AM teacher.  Electronic photos can be sent to Julie Dupuy or hard copies can be submitted to the office. 

Another option to honor a loved one who served or is currently serving in the military is to color and submit a "Veteran's Day Heart". Please write your honoree's name on the line below the heart and return it to the office. The hearts will be prominently displayed during the assembly. Print your Veteran's Day Heart here.

Please submit all photos & Veteran's Day Hearts to the school office by Friday, October 26.
