Throughout this past year, LITA contributors
have supported lasting empowerment in the
lives of a growing number of students:
In 2017 : 42 students were supported!
In 2018 : 92 students were supported!
In 2019 : ??? students will be supported!
Aug 18 - Cath, with LITA students, front to back, Francis and David, future lawyer and doctor, both completing Senior 3 this year, and Benard, who has recently graduated with a certificate in 'Public Admin' and is now in first year university studying 'Social Work and Social Administration'.. with an eye on a degree in 'Governance and International Relations'.

As 2018 comes to a close, we celebrate, appreciate and thank all who have made it possible for us to complete building LITA's 3rd primary school here in Uganda,
while also supporting 92 orphaned and vulnerable students now finishing up the school year that began last February.

Our Education 2019 Goals
 As we turn our focus to next year, we would like to share that almost every day, LITA receives requests from guardians and students in Uganda asking for education support.
From 'Baby Class' in preschool, to University, our wish is to assist more and more orphaned and vulnerable students every year.
While a few of our 2018 students are graduating from vocational training and readying for work, our goal in 2019 is to support all the continuing students from this past year, and add another 20 or 30, etc! Please help us do it!
Meet our Veron! She is among the very top students in her district. Veron has just completed finals for Primary 7 and we now await results for her and all our P7's. In 2019, she will be off to the highest standard senior school we can manage for her! Veron represents all our students: Bright stars! Bright futures! Destined to be making the world a brighter place!
Please, we are asking for your help to support Veron, and all our other children, youth and young adults to go to school, and stay in school throughout 2019.
Our fund raising target for
Education 2019 is $122,000.00.
This amount will facilitate school fees, school supplies
and requirements, student transport, boarding, health care, emergency and other support services for approximately
120 to 130 students throughout 2019.

On Oct 13th, we held our Annual General Meeting in Vancouver
with Catherine and team skyping in from Kamonkoli in Uganda.
Our LITA Orchestra, comprised of 15 students from 4 different primary schools
thrilled us with amazing song, dance, instrumental and spoken word performances!
We all hope you'll plan to join us next year!

As this most beautiful time of year approaches when
Love and Kindness guide the hearts of many, we thank you very much for your consideration of support to help us
reach our education fund raising goals for 2019!
In our recently published Annual Report below, we share much news about our successes and challenges during our 2017/18 fiscal year. Amidst lots of information and photos, one of the statistics included reveals that a growing 9 million youth in Uganda, aged 15 to 24 yrs - that's almost 25% of the population - are not in any schooling, employment, or vocational training.
We are grateful for the chance to touch more lives every year, and hope to continue to shift that stat and other areas of life here in a more positive direction in 2019!
