Midweek Prayer Message

Dear <<First Name>>,

This morning the people who attended the Tuesday Prayer Meeting met and prayed for the life of the Church, community and wider world.

Please join in giving thanks for:
  • "Now is the time" worship event last Saturday at the Mart and Elaine Lindridge's empowering and encouraging message.
  • The Trinity Toilet Twinning project initiated by our young people.
  • The teams of coffee makers and servers on Tuesdays and Sundays and at other Church events.
  • For more young people coming to HT3 on Monday afternoon including boys as well as girls.
Please pray for the following people, places and situations over the next week:
  • The "Season of Invitation" and for the introduction evening evening titled "Why is an invitation so important?" on Wednesday 24th October (see details below).
  • The circuit leadership team's (Ministers and Stewards) away day on Thursday.
  • The physical, emotional and spiritual health of our church family and especially any we are aware of with ongoing problems.
  • Spiritual protection over young minds and for those helping in The Abbey to demonstrate the Christian origins of "All Souls" on Saturday.
Today's prayers from the Methodist Church Prayer Handbook are:

O God, whose glory the heavens are telling, the earth your power, the sea your might, and whose greatness all the hosts of heaven proclaim; to you belongs all glory, honour, majesty and praise; both now and for ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

Liturgy of Saint James (5th century)

Holy God, come and breathe life.
Renew and revive your Church.
Call us, again and again, into your ways of transforming love and great mercy.
Reform us until we become more like you, for the sake of the world you came to save.
Blow away all within us that is unworthy, enliven all that brings hope and joy,
and fill us again with courage and boldness to proclaim the gospel. Amen.

Helen Cameron, Northampton District Chair
