CLEAN SWEEP FOR THE LADIES
It was a great weekend across the club but especially in the ladies section which saw a clean sweep of wins across all four teams. And the Men's section was positive as well with three wins from their five games.

To celebrate the success, Nat (Ladies 2s Keeper at the front), had some red lippy applied prior to their game. Note her puckering up during the team photo further down. Not sure the shade chosen quite goes with your Villans Claret and Blue top.

Starting with the Men's 1s (Pictured below). They have had a strong start to the season and are currently 3rd in the table. This week they won 4-1 against West Herts with goals from Ollie Bowman x2 and Pete Allam x2. WON 4-1 Match Report

The Ladies 1s (Below) are making good progress moving up the league table with a 1-0 win against Broxbourne. Our goal came from Abi Lawlor. But the win was cemented by a Fantastic Penalty Flick save by Vicky Stanwell. Prepare for a poetry match report... WON 1-0 Match Report

The Ladies 2s (below) had a great 2-1 win away at Broxbourne with both goals coming from Hannah Prentice. Note Nat is pucking up and preparing for action. WON 2-1 Match Report

In what could be termed a lacklustre performance, the Men's 3s beat Letchworth 2-0 with goals from Ben Moorhouse (penalty flick) and Edward Goodwyn (short corner). A win is a win however and a clean sheet to boot. WON 2-0 - Match Report

The Ladies 3’s made it 4 wins out of 4 with a 3-2 win against Leighton Buzzard. Goals from Ellie Cella Emma Swords and Andrea Bettridge. Chops was paddle boarding on the Thames on Sunday (a birthday gift from friends) so the photo is the team having a paddle board pose! WON 3-2 Match Report

The Ladies 4s (pictured below) had an amazing game winning 7-0!! Lara Gray's match report is minimalist to say the least, especially given the number of goals she has to cover. Great picture! I feel as though Angie (3rd from right) is starting to announce something. WON 7-0 Match Report

The Men's 5s are having an impressive season, they notched their 2nd win of the season this weekend with a 2-0 victory against Letchworth. Our first goals sounds somehwat calamitous (but they all count) and the 2nd goal was well taken by Rik Kaup WON 2-0 - Match Report

The Men's 2’s sadly lost again. This time Shefford and Sandy came out on top with a 3-1 win. Berko pushed hard in the second half and there were glimpses of quality but yet again we come out empty handed. Lost 3-1 Match Report

Both the Men's 2s and 4s are going to have lengthy battles this season. And once again the Men's 4s lost. This weekend they lost 7-0 to Bishop Stortford. Lost 7-0 - Match Report

We have a full set of fixtures on Saturday so if you haven't done so already please give Roger or Jo a shout with your availability...

Santa Sleigh Collection

OK, so it may be a bit on the early side to be getting ready for Christmas but I know that Santa Sleigh is becoming something of an annual ritual for many club families.

This event has raised literally hundreds of pounds for our club as well as local good causes and all it takes is 6 to 8 club members spending a couple of hours escorting Santa through the streets of Berko.

Its great fun, a good way to get in the festive mood and an opportunity for a few drinks to warm up after.

Date : Thursday 20th December

Time : 6-8pm

Route : tbc

Meet : Garages at end of Clarence Road (limited parking) at least 20 minutes prior to departure

Let Nick Cave know if you can spend a couple of hours with Santa.
