Dear Friends!

Arriving into the United States on the 2nd of September, we have managed to live what seems to be a lifetime within a little over one month.  It has been no secret that 3 September was our 50th wedding anniversary and our family spoiled us to the max by planning an absolutely perfect open house at our home for family and friends to attend.  Clint, Jes and Shauna’s gift to us was an Old Town canoe!  Upon our arrival to our home from the airport the garage door slowly opened to reveal this HUGE blue canoe hanging in our garage with a hand-written note on it, “Happy Anniversary!” Yes…we have already used it on one bright sunny Colorado day when everyone in the family brought their canoes, rafts, paddle boards, fishing poles and of course grills to enjoy a welcome home fun day.

Living in a time of acceleration and of urgency to see souls won for Jesus and for many to experience His love and healing, we approach each day intentionally with Holy Spirit guiding us.  It seems we have shared Jesus’ love at every turn just through kindness.  Visiting our family and friends during September has been paramount this month.  Now we depart to the west coast, then return through Wyoming to visit Jeff’s brother and family, then home in Colorado for a few days, to then drive to Texas and Missouri to visit longtime Afrika Wa Yesu friends of the ministry.  We look forward to connecting with you as we travel.  What a privilege to be in the USA sharing about Afrika Wa Yesu.  We are grateful for internet and methods to stay connected with our MZ family friends to bring you the latest news from Mozambique.  Our lives are full whether we are here in the USA or in Mozambique with His purpose for that day, week, moment …. the joy of Kingdom living means there is never a dull moment.  Pastor Aaron Lucas of Citipointe Church Loveland stated, "Vision moves at the speed of your obedience."  We have learned that no matter how small it seems, each move in obedience brings you closer to fulfilling your call.

Thank You Friends for your prayers for Afrika Wa Yesu, the team, the nation, the north of MZ under brutal attacks of terrorists, our family and ourselves.  We are covered, joyful and look forward to seeing you over a cup of coffee or in church somewhere.  Long time connections are important and valued!

Enjoy the photo montage of life in the USA and Mozambique for the last six weeks.  Reading the captions, you will understand the “rest of the story!”

Together for His Glory!
Jeff & Nicky Reetz and all of us at Afrika Wa Yesu

Our 50th wedding celebration was absolutely perfect!  The family poured their hearts and love into every detail.  Thank you family and friends for such a beautiful day.  We felt so honored and still do!
Grandsons Niko (left) and Isaac.  Great young men!
Here's the next generation...our great grandson Jakoby with his wonderful mom Shaina …. proud dad Tyler Jeffrey (TJ) was working. Yes, Jakoby laughs a lot!
Our daughter Shauna and the rest of the Reetz ladies were busy early on setting up all they had planned as the Reetz men arranged all the smoked meat and trimmings. Everything was a surprise to us both.
Clint led a beautiful prayer of blessing over us at the party.  Before we left for Mozambique 18+ years ago, Clint, Shauna and Jes laid hands on us and released us to "Go" and do what God had called us to do.   There is power in laying on of hands.
Long time friend of Afrika Wa Yesu Pastor Rodgers Alufazema of Nsanje Malawi, visited Resurrection Fellowship in Colorado to personally report regarding the building of an orphanage by his church.  This is a long time vision and dream he has carried.  We surprised him by arriving to his share time meeting then having him in our home for an afternoon.  Truly a humble and powerful man.
"Let's take a break and meet you for a pizza downtown",  was Clint and Crystal's idea the Friday night before our 50th Open House.  Little did we know, my cousin from Connecticut from my mother's side of the family had flown in to surprise us.  Walking into the restaurant, we waved to Clint and Crystal and suddenly Phillip appeared from hiding! The entire family kept this secret for sure!
Meet Grandpa & Grandpa Nicolas Adriani!  Nicky's Italian heritage.
Family was  found chatting in every corner of the house and outside.  Our 50th turned into a family reunion.  Jeff's brother Dave (far right) and his wife Glo (second from the left) were in our wedding. So special to have Jeff's cousins also join in.
Jes' wife Kim bought 50's sequins and we watched has she cheerfully put them in all the right places.  To this day, we continue to find one here and one there and we just smile.
Grandchildren Niko, Kyleen and Kynzie found themselves catching up on the news of "Whastup Cousin?"
We are so proud of Deborah Jo, Pastors Armando & Lurdes' daughter, who is attending CFNI in Dallas for one year.  We look forward to seeing her soon!
Afrika Wa Yesu trains youth through regional conferences and small discussion groups  This is effective and growing up future leaders.
Ellie among the incredible Makonde, Makhuwa and Mwani women for one week, powerfully teaching through the direction of the Holy Spirit to encourage, free and lift the women during a time of terror presently moving through Northern Mozambique.   Please pray for the people and our leaders who are standing strong to help the people.  Hope is in JESUS and power in His name!
