Summit Program:
The event is from 10th to 13th November 2018.
Welcome Reception: 10th is pre-registration day for the Summit, giving the delegates a leisure day to explore Dubai after completing the registration formalities from 3 pm to 5 pm in the Venue.
The Summit will host various sessions from 11th to 13th November, including:
- Five key note presentations from both the THA leadership and local key stakeholders have been featured, the former including "The Triple Helix: A Catalyst for Change" by Prof. Etzkowitz; "The Global Innovation Index as a Measurement of Triple Helix Engagement" by Prof. Todeva and "Application of Triple Helix in the creation of Districts of Innovation" by Mr Piqué ; the latter including presentations by H.E Ahmad Butti Al Muhairbi, Secretary-General, Dubai Supreme Council of Energy and Prof. Abdullah Alshamsi, Vice Chancellor The British University in Dubai. - Eight Plenary sessions, around the Summit sub-themes will be delivered by local and international representatives of Academia (University of Dubai, Al-Maktoum College Of Higher Education, Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government, American University of Ras Alkhaimah, The British University in Dubai, University of Strathclyde) Industry (IBM, Siemens, Al Sahel Contracting Co.) and Government
- Six parallel sessions for papers and cases presentation
- Three round-table discussions, on”Open Science and Triple Helix Governance of Multistakeholder Engagement”, “Opportunities and challenges in Operationalizing the Triple Helix model at regional level: the experience of the Triple Helix Association Chapters” and an emerging one on Science Parks. On 11st evening at the Gala Dinner, the THA and the British University in Dubai will present the winners of the Best research Paper Award, and the Triple Helix International Medal Award 2018.
